Default Dyno Day '08 135i (E85 Map 7) - 03-10-2012, 10:24 PM

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post up a couple of pulls i did yesterday on the dyno. Honestly i was quite shocked with the results!! I just want to thank Terry for all of recommendations and support he has given to me to be able to make this much power with a relatively little amount of mods..

Sorry for the crappy pics but let me know what you guys think!!

Mods: JB4 latest update, 50/50 e85/93, raceland kittyless DPs, gutted midpipes, muffler delete, BMS DCI

Boston, be careful up there. Place is saturated with state troopers.
At this rate I guess you'd be gone before they get the car into gear!
Great numbers. Wonder what it will post with meth!

Thanks everyone!!! Sorry but never had a chance to do any baseline pulls before modding...

@skysurfer
I honestly could not believe the numbers that my car put out. There was maybe 15 people in the room when i did the first pull and everyones jaw dropped when the saw the sheet and started asking me a million questions about what i had done to my car
JB4 FTW is all i said loll Awesome numbers btw with a higher mix. Im a little scared to go higher than 50/50 but with the power your making, im thinking i might go for it. Only if Terry lived a little closer to me to help me out with the tuning hahaa i would have no clue where to start with map 6.. Any suggestions?

@Ocean
Yah Bostons been real bad lately with cops. They just hired 300 more state troopers to the force and with a car as loud as mine (straight pipe turbo back) I really gotta drive like a granny to not draw attention lol I also cant wait to get meth and see what numbers i put up. BMS WW kit next on my list

With an E85 mix use map 7 as the highest map. Many cars won't take a 50/50 mix and you'll have to use a 30/70 mix and map 2. Testing with map 6 was just an experiment but gains were minimal over map 7.

Yeah I was shocked and surprised myself

Don't go over 50/50

I did 60/40 ( E85/91 ) here in Cali we have 91, for Dyno day testing purposes ONLY, I usually run 50/50 when I get the chance.

Other places have 93 so 50/50 is more than enough.

But like Terry stated above Map 7

But if you run some logs and send them to him he can adjust to your needs and mods

Love that extra torque and HP

Stay safe and ENJOY !!

Terry, what do you mean when you say MANY cars? Is it a factor of supporting mods, compatibility with the other available fuel or what? Thanks!

Some cars throw random o2 air/fuel codes with higher E85 mixes, lean out post shift even though fuel trims are in check, etc. I don't really know what factors allow it to work fine in some cars and not work on others. Perhaps DME version differences, etc. So you'll just have to see how much you can get away with with your particularity car.

Just verifying. If i go 50/50 E95/93 then go map 7 and log? Then if everything looks good go w/ custom map?

50/50 is a little high. I would go with what Terry recommends which is 30/70 on map 2 which pulls hard and gives you peace of mind

Okay, I have the same mods as you but w/ AR DPs. I'm running Map 2 today with 93 Shell. So if I want to toy around with this, go with 30% E85 and 70% 93Octane and then stay on Map2.

Since I'm already running Map 2, my JB4 will adjust and hold more boost with the 30/70 blend. Assuming I should log as well?

If you stay on map 2 then you will get the maximum boost and timing advance set for map 2. You will probably make more power than on plain 93 octane. You might be better with map 5 which will auto tune and maybe increase the boost more. Best thing is logging on map 2 then switch to map 5 and let it learn by doing some third gear pulls. Compare the logs and share them to us.

Are you running map 7? If so, did you make any changes to the settings on the jb4?? Because mine runs like crap on map7 with e85/93 mix.
