flames on the exhaust -

If terry could add fuel and retard the timing under deceleration (high vaccum) we would have flames on the exhaust, bad for the exhaust... yes i know, but good for road racing cause that keeps the turbo spooling under deceleration and for the highway use when you look at the others drivers and see the look on their faces and the pointing the fingers at the back of your car its.... priceless

My buddy with an N54, DP, DCI, IC, exhaust, and cool mist was running with me on the highway last weekend and after letting off he shot out a red/orange flame.

My 335i shot flames out at every shift. I have it video on my iPhone. I'll try n post it. My cousin was driving and was video taping the 1-2nd gear shift. I wish I still had my car!!!

My S15 Silvia and R33GTR both do it regularly - certainly stops people tailgating  Even though I am old and should know better - scarily I also miss shooting the odd flame out the back on my 135...

A friend of mine used to have a Stage III B5 S4 (sold it and just got an E92 M3) and that thing was a complete flamethrower!
Back when I first got my 135i and it was fully stock I did some freeway runs with a supercharged E46 and him and his passenger both claim my car shot flames at one point.
I can't verify this, but I really hope it's true I already love the constant popping of the N55 especially during hard upshifts. People have told me it sounds like an explosion if they have their windows down.

My friend told me that my car shot two small blue flames out the exhaust last night as he was following me. That was spraying meth and during a shift where I heard a backfire/pop sound.

Flames are easy - just add kittyless DPs and a catback n there ya go. Both my old STi and WRX and LGT shot flames and popped non stop. Good times at night.

I poped flames downshifting from 2nd to 1st at 4k rpm and also poping after letting off and downshifting at 148 lol. I guess too much fuel is putting out. bad for O2 Sensors tho

quick question on this....... i have the stage 2 as well and I am getting some (highly intermittent) backfires (especially since the cooler) in 1st or 2nd gear from a crawl to not even WOT. I haven't logged because its very odd behavior and not readily reproduced.
I am worried that I may be hurting something... in town 93 octane MAP 2.
The backfires are not "violent" but it's a brief loss of power -- * pop * --- then it picks up speed............
anyone have any idea wtf is going on????
