Any concern with exposing the pump to all those heat cycles? I feel like these pumps are so finicky and that cooking them won't help with longevity...

Who knows. May shorten the life having it in the engine bay. We'll have to see how they hold up.

+1 Good point. A solenoid will allow a vapor locked pump to re-prime where a check valve will not.

I like the idea of a solenoid, but its just one more thing that could have problems.

I don't like the idea of tapping the ww fluid tank for my injection mix at all. Especially since I run such a high meth concentration.

Looks good , now you just gotta make a custom meth tank for engine bay....one that could possibly protect the pump from heat? Like a cover/box for it that can be filled with meth...

So are you planning to do an adapter for the DV which also takes a meth nozzle ? This would indeed be a breakthorugh idea IF 2 of those (one for each DV) would not cost more than half the cost of a meth elbow.

But the rest of the stuff with placing the pump in the engine bay, etc. is obviously just to copy Vishnu but more probably to avoid debates that could favor the Procede

And about the PWM confusion (knowingly introduced by BMS to add to confusion ?), a PWM "pump" means nothing, it's just a way to control the pump speed. The real "PWM" stuff that all other meth kit vendors refer to is the PWM valve controlling the nozzles while the line pressure behind the valve is constant, much like a car injector. That is the thing ensuring high atomisation at all spray levels.

Keep your current setup!

I assume this is intended less for the 100% meth guys and more for the people who still have a warranty and need an easy uninstall...

We made the choice to include the solenoid with the System X for several reasons:

1) the new FCB has a solenoid output
2) the solenoid has been sold for over a year now with zero failures so far. Our solenoid is 303 stainless steel and can hold a back pressure of 300 psi.

3) it will re-prime itself if there is an air problem.

4) it will flow more

5) it will hold more pressure in the line.

I think you trade off performance vs simplicity/cost. when your looking at checkvalve vs solenoid. The CMGS FS versions (V1.08) will continue to ship with the checkvalve, the new CMGS SYSTEM X systems will have the solenoid.

So system X wont have an option for a solenoid? Doesnt matter to me though, I want a solenoid

Dont know if this would work, but how about putting a tank and pump right here for people who have taken the snorkel out? If scoops were installed you would get some cold air on the tank or pump to keep it a little cooler also.

That would be cool. But I'm going for something inexpensive with this kit. So we'll have to use the washer fluid reservoir for the tank.

Yeah, I understand. I just went outside and took the snorkel off and there was way less room than I remembered anyway. I am sure whatever you end up doing will be awesome!

I think you mis-read. System X comes with solenoid. Here is the first line of the post:

Yeah, I didnt mean to type that. What I meant is will system X have the option for a checkvalve. But I see you said its an option so you answered my question.

I really like the idea you have here. Something that mounts in the engine bay and leverages the ww tank would be really interesting! Meth is next up on my list so I'm watching....
