Default jb2x back from the dyno - 04-11-2008, 10:45 PM

i have the jb2x in and i am verry verry verry happy with it ...i ran 104 octaine straight with the r switch on runing 13 psi...it did 369 hp and 409 tq....i have to scan the dyno sheets tomarro n il put them up

my friend has a dyno at his shop hes a tuner for honds toyota's n cars like that n he was amazed that i gained so much with it...so was i..lol

when i tried to turn the boost up more than 13 it jst threw a limp and the check engine lite went on..idk wht was up with that...on the street it runs 15 with no problems so idk... il try it again once i get the speed limiter off

Interesting.. do you have the new bypass or the old one? Generally to turn the X up all the way you need downpipes, exhaust, etc. But sometimes the new bypass helps too.

by the new on do u mean the one you were experamenting on......
its not that one...onec the temps got in the 60's it was runnin 15psi with the r switch one with 104 oct

Boost will go up and down a bit based on temp, to a lesser degree with the R on but there is still some variation. But do try the new bypass. We offer a kit for $17, or you can chase down the parts at your local autoparts store. Just check the photos in that thread.

Stabilizes boost fluctuations, and improves low end boost response. But if its going up and down 3psi there might be some boost control issue. Like a defective diverter valve, etc. But try the new bypass first, boost should hold stable.

Tell them to call Vishnu and see who picks up.

Once you buy a JB product you get Terry's personal cell phone number just in case you have problems....


Another option is to get on here and PM him, or email him through gmal. All of these options will get you quicker response time then most other tuners....

I'm sure if you ask and have a good reason Terry will give you his number. That's how I got it. Communication and Q & A are not an issue with Terry and most of the people that are on this site. IMO Good numbers keep us posted.

You get my phone number after you order something. I don't have time to field sales calls from the general public, etc. We're a 3 person manufacturer shop.

Funniest thing Ive read... Terry has top notch customer service, which is mainly the reason I went with JBX over Procede. He's always answered my questions promptly, usually within a hour if I send him a PM or email. He's a stand up guy and would gladly send him more of my money (or tax payers money) if I had the chance.

So the jbx setting was at zero with just the r switch turned on?
