It was a new install of upgrade kit, and I don't want a hole in firewall for ODBC cable. Does that have to be connected for the JB4 to work?

The JB4 is meant to have the OBDII cable - otherwise it is missing critical engine perimeters and with the v2 firmware will behave like a JB1. Running the OBDII cable thru the grommet is a 15min effort and a quick read thru the instructions on post #2 and a read thru the forum posts (# 627 for example) you will see / read some how toís. The effort is well worth it!

Thanks, but without that connected it should still function as mine was showing an error in that state - JB4 cannot connect to JB4

Thank you @jrobohm. Can someone post their map 3 for a redstart running on e85 mix. Highly appreciate it. Also to go back to stock, do we just unplug the jb4 or we need to take a picture of stock settings and change it back to them when trying to take to dealership. Kindly advise

Yes - the ignition/ engine needs to be on when using your laptop and the JB4 app to change maps / settings. Be sure to read the second post as well.
Could we switch the maps while driving?

Check out post #371 for some details on the JB4 Bluetooth Kit. While it is possible to run the BMS cable from the engine compartment into the cabin to your laptop - changing maps via your phone is by far easier!

Remove the JB4 and return the cabling to the original connections and your Q50 is back to stock. The beauty of the JB1/JB4 piggyback design vs a flash tune!

I was just driving with jb4 map1. I was driving hard and stopped at a light. Driving off from the light car was barely moving. If I floor the gas, car is barely moving and jerks. Rpm is not going up. It is showing a traction light. Please advise

Maybe you need to check your jb1 connectors to make sure they are seated correctly and snapped in. I would also disconnect your battery while doing this so you can reset the ecu.

No idea on that. But, read the fault codes. That normally tells you what is wrong with the car and is the basis for any diagnosis. If the car barely moves and has a traction light on sounds like some sort of traction/stability control fault, not tuning related.

Terry, can you please post map5 and map7 settings. Also, is it safe to change maps while the car is moving? Thanks.

Happy to report that so far my burger intakes are performing great. I did run stillen intakes on this car and had to take them off and return them, due to drivability issues. I like how they are secured with the supplied brackets, the stillen ones were moving all over the place. I did have to run a die on one of the bolts that secure the bracket to the maf housing, it looks like these bolts are ground down and it wouldn't screw in. Also had to do some bending of the heat shields to prevent touching and chafing. Overall I like them.

Terry got 2 logs on map 7... one was a 2000rpm 3rd gear pull
Other is a 3rd gear around 5000rpm up to 100mph

Let me know if itís good, 93 gas only

I'm curious to see what Terry will suggest. Your timing looks like it's climbing and your ARF until about 3600rpm looks too lean...But i'm just learning myself.

lets see what he says.

Timing looks OK but boost isn't going up as high as it might otherwise on map7 as the intake temps are low, and thus the factory boost target which is load based is lower. Map6 is probably a better fit.

Thanks, just to make sure your talking about both logs right?? Cause when I did that 3rd gear around 2000 rpm I was literally going like 30mph but it wasnít pulling hard. The other log was i just downshifted while I was cruising on the highway maybe like 60-70mph but the RPMS were already up there. Just want on clarify

Quick question I was running map 2 on my rs400 I just installed a new exhaust system on the car. Do I need to do anything with the jb1 since I installed the new exhaust?

JB4 you mean? JB1 doesn't have map2. But no changes needed.

We approved the design and they are under production. Anthony our CNC and machining guy tells me probably sometime next week.

In terms of bleeding directions as there are so many other heat exchanger options out we haven't made that a priority. But we'll definitely get to it at some point.

I just look at the full throttle parts of the logs. Low throttle isn't useful for full throttle performance evaluation.
