Just an update:

We have been selling these RB N54 High Flow Silicone Outlets for right at 1 year now and have had no reports of melting, etc. We have had 4 reports of the hose popping off the v1 compressor housing adapter which consists of about 10% of the outlets sold with the v1 compressor housing adapter. In ~March 2017 we began shipping all units with the v2 compressor housing adapter and to date have had no complaints with any of them allowing the silicone to pop off. We have also had no further complaints of the v1 adapter either. (Picture attached of v2 adapter on left vs. v1 adapter on right)

In short these units have been overwhelmingly successful and seem to be holding up very well.

Thanks,
Rob

I can attest to this since I have one of the test sets in my E61 and have been running them since day one. I have had zero issues with fittment or hoses popping off. The E60/61 engine bay has the tightest fit of all the n54 cars on the turbo side and I’m using a VRSF intercooler so if anything, my setup is probably one of the most challenging to make work.

After 21 years in this business I truly appreciate well designed parts that fit correctly and function as they should for the long term so I will continue to say that the RB products are top notch.
The RB inlets, outlets, external PCV and oil drains are all great innovations or the perfect version of existing products.

Another 6 month update here for a total of 1.5 years since we began selling the RB N54 Silicone High Flow outlets. We are very happy to report that we have only had 1 reported issue of the outlet hosing burning/cracking, and this user in particular was not using our RB Custom heat shield we typically recommend (nor any sort of other heat protection).

This is not to say that this is the only case, but it is certainly the only one that has been reported back to RB thus far. All in all these seem to be holding up surprisingly well with time.

Rob

Where do I buy a set for 135i? I don't see them on your website. I much prefer your outlet design with the heatsheat, that and/or titanium header wrapping them would be ideal.

Yeah we have never put on our website- it is not often updated well. We still sell and stock these however.

Just shoot over an email if you want any quotes.

Thanks,
Rob
