Default Pump BEF but not as agressive as JB4 map 2?!?! - 01-03-2018, 12:25 AM

So I just loaded the Pump BEF and took it for a test drive, I immediately got a 30FC code and went into limp so I adjusted JB4 menu 12 to 2500 and that seemed to fix it for now but now in map 2 it doesn't feel quite as powerful as prior to the BEF. Am I missing something? Please take a look at the attached logs and advise. BTW, these logs are after the menu 12 adjustment. Thanks

Insufficient octane to run Map 2, IMO. Timing is bottoming out (although you don't have all 6 turned on). You'd probably do better on Map 1 in this scenario.

There is a weird jump to rich around 4-5k RPM in a couple logs, not sure what that is about. Maybe need an OL adjustment?

Thanks for your reply vorsprung, I'll try map 1 and see how it goes, or maybe I'll just say eff it and finally try an E30 mix and go to map 5!

I don't have all 6 what turned on?
What is OL?

Turn on 6cyl timing, and log map1. Seems like a possible octane issue here to me also.

Agreed...timing is poor and the DME causes you to go very rich as a result.

Pump flash has low timing targets as pump gas won't typically support more aggressive timing. In your case this appears to be the case and you should be targeting less boost. I'd try a log on map 1.

I did a few logs, the first one is on the highway at 70-80 mph and the others are 40-80ish from 3rd gear. Please review and advise. Thanks

Overall logs look decent- FF should learn down more as things adapt.

Some very minor small timing corrections.

Could add a bit of e85 and try map 2

I filled up with an E30 mix (4 gal E85/11 gal 91) last night with (negative) 6 miles to go according to my fuel reading so the tank was quite empty. I added a couple ounces of Lucas ethanol fuel system conditioner and switched to map 2. Initial runs pushed me into map 4 so I switched back to map 2 and it seemed ok. I'll log today

Default E85 logs - 01-05-2018, 02:26 PM

Here are the logs from today, the first one cruising at highway speeds. I tried map 2 since I'm running E30 now but still getting kicked to map 4 randomly! Please take a look

FF is maxed out...try lowering it back to 100 and see if it maxes out again. You may have a boost leak, disconnected flapper, or ???

I'd add a couple more gallons of E85 and set FOL to 90. Also keep an eye on the LPFP to make sure it's not struggling.

Flapper being referred to is your exhaust valve flapper.

This is a good read for you to help you understand/Grasp some of the terms:

Ok thank for the link, I'll read up on it. As far as the flapper goes, it is still functional and connected, I hear it every morning I warm up my car

Id go into your user adjustment settings and lower FF down to 100 as Steve mentioned & relog...

If it maxes back out to 150 again, Id assume you have a boost leak somewhere

Default Found the boost leak! - 01-11-2018, 11:43 PM

Ok, I replaced the plugs and wrapped some Teflon tape around them this time, hopefully they'll stay in! Initial pulls felt awesome, here are the logs. Running E35 in the tank in map 2 with pump BEF. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Looks pretty clean but as mentioned, the LPFP is definitely struggling in both logs.
