Unsure of what map to run:

JB4, Stage 2

93 octane all the time (BP gas)
N55
BMS Intake
Soon to be: Vishnu Catted DP (100 cell race version)

Currently I've been switching around from map 1,2, and 5
I ran map 5 for a few weeks, eventually it had great low end, great response, 15 psi initially, then would taper off to 10psi redline (1/2 fuel mark).
I switch to map 4 to test it out, and it would make 10-11psi around 4000 rpm then taper off to 9psi redline
Map 1 would yield similar results, with 11-12 psi then tapering off to 10 psi redline
Map 2 was similar to map 5 but i feel i had better low-end with map 5. 13-14 psi tapering off to 11 psi
Any reason why my map 5 after full learning process (3 weeks on map 5) would boost to 15 psi initially then taper to 10 psi. If i gunned the car at 40mph and it dropped to 2nd gear, say 4500 rpm and pull to redline, it would only hit 10psi and stay there. nothing more. if I accelerate from a stop it would boost to 15psi ---> 10 psi redline.
Now map 5 is similar to map 2, 12-13 psi tapering off to 11 psi redline.
Should i be datalogging all this information, such as timing advance, boost, and then choose what's the best? or just leave it on 5 and assume the unit knows better than me?

So map 2 or map 5? That is the question.

Also, I will be hitting the track next week with 100 octane, what map is best for that?

Brett

Map2 always feels better to me and adapts faster although during top end Map5 makes a few more hp.

Interesting. I love map 2 for daily use. U think map 5 is better for the track? My catted downpipe is amazing. added tons of torque and spool!!
