Default Trackday: Wheel nuts coming lose - 05-30-2017, 07:08 PM

Hi

The last two times I went to a trackday my car started vibrating heavily during braking after only a few spirited laps. Re-torqing the nuts always helps but why does this happen in the first place? Possible to buy higher quality nuts that stay on or is it a heat issue of sorts?

Car is a 2012 M135i with EBC redstuff front pads - otherwise stock brakes and wheels.

Interesting issue. What stud conversion and nuts are you using?

You re-torqued, were they really loose? Sure its not a warped rotor??
