You email at BMS and they will send you a new update that need to be uploaded from either the phone app or laptop

Via the app go to settings choose read only. If you have an N20 and it says 13/3/5 you are updated. For B48 you need to check current and go to the B48 section and verify if there is a new one.

If it is an EWG N20 320i, would the map 1 be adding 4psi or targeting 21psi. Similarly for map 2. I am currently running map5 with ER catted ********.

Dear liveevil:
Map 1: PWG models absolute target 21psi peak, EWG models additive 4psi peak over stock.
Map 2: PWG models absolute target 22psi peak, EWG models additive 6psi peak over stock.

the 20i i think is maxing at 13 and the 28i either 17 or 18 at stock cant recall the absolute stock values. Never the less follow Terrys recommendation.

Dear Terry regarding the rods is that for 20i only or for 28i as well?

http://mywikimotors.com/bmw-n20/

According to link, 8psi for stock n20 20i and 17psi for stock n20 28i.

For an ewg 20i, is it 12psi (8+4) on map 1, 14psi on map 2 and up to 17psi on map 5?

I have workshops telling me to run map2, because it is punchier and more consistent, but Terry seems to suggest Map5

I wouldnt trust wikimotors it has unreliable information. The best option for me is to make a run on map 4 and monitor maximum Psi. Nevertheless am sorry for the wrong info regarding the 20i.

Regarding what the workshops say i have one Q. How can a workshop has a better experience and opinion regarding a product from the creator and founder of it..... Bottom line however as we say in Greek = You are must hear out everyone's opinion but at the end of the day you must do what your guts or brain suggest and take sole responsibility in the case of an negative outcome.

Thanks. I just want to know whether for ewg n20, whether it is absolute target of 21/22psi or +4/6psi.

I agree with your statement with what brain suggest, which is what I am trying to do...if absolute target, means map 2 will be punchier than 5 (but also more dangerous)

+4 and +6 is straight forward. The info is found at the first page and Terrys post of this section
Most aggressive is map 7 regardless
Punchier does not mean better as well.

I haven't been back on this thread in quite some time. I am just wondering if there has been any updates on the JB4 firmware attached files in the opening post? I've been running jb4 for the past year and just want to keep things updated. It has probably been that long since I've checked.

@ Terry,

I have a F10 N20 engine PWG. After installing JB4 (OBDII & BT Rev 3), i keep getting Drivetrain error during drive.

What could be the likely issue?

You might need to post it at the support sub forum along with a log file so someone can assist you.

I posted on the support thread to advise us on significant changes but no answer yet

EDIT:
I found that my previous setting on my boost limiter altered to higher values
Also found my boost fail safety at 32.6 psi instead of 23

BMS please comment

Wow that seems way too high for the boost safety. Hopefully they give more details.

well i hope it was a glitch. However having 4 values in total random numbers ie 32.6 as boost fail safety or 12.9 instead of 8 for my 1st gear boost limiter is rather strange
