Default Is it safe to run the e85 BEF on pure pump gas with the JB4 on map 4? - 09-10-2017, 09:49 PM

As the title says, if I can't get to an e85 pump and need to fill the tank with 98RON, can I just put the JB4 on Map 4 or Map 1 until I can re-fill to e40; or is it necessary to re-flash to the PUMP BEF?

I'd recommend reflashing or not going WOT until you refill with E40.

Default E50 Map 7 Logcheck - 09-11-2017, 08:49 PM

Could you please quickly check my log.

Is it safe to keep using Map 7 or is it pulling timing?

Also, anything else I should know about?

N54 135i FBO+Inlets, Outlets, Feul-it Stage2+ Bucketless, JB4 Map 7, BMS E85 BEF, 60% E85/40% 98RON (E50) mix.

Thanks!

No need to start new threads.

Looks okay but are your running a ** fix? If so remove it and either way, reset your adaptions.

Thanks!

I'll post in this thread from now in

Interesting you say that. I've got a pretty consistent error "2C77 Lambda probe behind catalytic converter, signal (bank 1)". I take it that's affecting the AFR reading/adaptation?

I _was_ looking at installing a d-p fix because it's cheaper than a replacement sensor, but since you can tell from the log that it's not working, I'll order another o2 sensor instead.

EDIT: I did notice when I loaded the log up in virtual dyno my AFR was quite 'wavy'. All seemed safe (12:1 to 14.5:1), but very not normal. I take it you think that's a sensor issue?

That would be a bad choice to run the "fix".

Does it resolve the issue for a short time when you reset adaptions?

I haven't had a chance to get out of suburbia to a quiet stretch of road to test & log

I can give you plenty of 2nd gear logs that are interrupted by DTC, but I doubt they're helpful.

The good news is Bosch sent me the o2 sensor in overnight post, so I'll install it and re-test before I come back here.

I'll be back in a week or so with fresh logs!

Should I be worried that my av_ign is sitting around 3.5? I expected with E50 it should be around 0.5 - 1.0. Or is that only with map 5?

Thanks.

Your I Avg is fine, it was adapting and continuing to drop throughout the log.
