I actually had to change up my driving style because of this tune. I can't floor it to pass anymore cause I will hit 100+ before I realize it. I know this is (by most standards) a conservative tune, but it really does the job.

Default Update - 01-04-2013, 06:42 PM

I've gotten a few good miles on it over the past week and it has definitely adapted and feels better than ever... The JB Stage 1 along with the 35 deg air temps we've had lately and it feels like I've got another 100hp at my disposal! 1st gear has always been an issue as it flies by so quickly that it is almost impossible not to bounce off the limiter, but now I'm having to click the paddle by 4.5K to avoid slamming into the limiter at 7K. Anyone who has driven an X5M knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Funny thing happened to me earlier today while I was out grabbing some lunch... Guy in a white G35 sedan (tints, lowered, etc) was ahead of me and constantly looking in his mirrors as we made a left turn onto a 4 lane road. As luck would have it we ended up side by side at a red light with no one in front of us. I switched over to full "M" mode and when the light went green he witnessed one of the most amazing things he will ever see. LOL. His expression at the next light was priceless...

BMW M + BMS JB Stg1 = INSANE!!!

Twin-turbo V8's are pretty close to the holy grail in the world of modding and speed. Seems like such an engine should have a LOT more tuning potential - based on my experience, I would be dismayed if a tune for 500+ whp doesn't show up pretty quickly.

In a 550i, that would be the ***'s pajamas.

The tunes will get to 500+ but from what I've seen in the past BMW makes their DME's very difficult to deal with.

BTW, I want a 550 next as well, but only if there's a good tune available.

***'s pajamas?!?!? LOL....I can't remember the last time I heard that phrase...lol

Thinking of picking up a 550i... Terry any plans to make a stage 2 or iso N63 tune down the road?

Or a ** fix for the AR ********* for the 550i? There doesn't seem to be any ** fix on the market.

Does AR have ***** for the 550 now? That would be a hot ticket.

The intercoolers are air to water correct? And their placement (two) is kinda tight. I would like to see someone do an intercooler upgrade as well for this car.

Terry,

Realistically do you see yourself making any changes/enhancements to this product within the next 6 months? Next 12 months? Doesn't sound like it from your response.

This is a great starting point but I'm already itching for more...

Future development will depend on Stage1 demand. No schedule has been set for anything further yet.

This means: Get out there and post in every N/S63 forum to get these things selling. The more people ask for a stage 2 the faster it may come, haha. Terry my car will be standing by for future testing if needed. I'd even be willing to put **'s on it assuming the F10 version fits my car.

Default Data Logger Software - 01-18-2013, 09:21 PM

Can someone post a link to the data logger software for the N63 unit? Is it the same as the JB4 unit found here: http://burgertuning.com/jb4_interface_121412.zip ?

Logging is very limited but you'll use the Stage1 interface.

Sounds like good performance. Someone needs to run some Vbox numbers on a tuned 550i.
