Yeah a second fuel system sounds like a lot more stuff to break.

your WMI is a fuel system. I suggested the stand alone so you won't burn out your hpfp or lose pressure when you spray if it's a wet shot. Your asking the stock fuel system too support an xxx amount of hp... when it already has trouble keeping up. This is why people pop their motors and why BMS doesn't support nitrous. Also I agree nx controller is annoying. I like wizards of nos better or nitrous outlet. But, I don't agree with just an arm switch and push a button and hope for the best approach. A crude shot of nitrous especially on forced induction motor is a nice way to bend a rod. Also a 35 shot isn't a 35 shot of forced induction. It's double. Go search the forums... there's n54's that we're picking up over 90whp/90wtq on small 35 shot. Do the research and start small on the nitrous... you can always go bigger.

You asked a question on a public forum. Contact this guy since he's been doing this type of work on these cars a lot longer than anyone.

I will be adding a small shot N20 very shortly. Using my own setup and hardware.

Do you have a plan already? If not if you could please come back and share that would be great.

PM me for detail, as this is still in preliminary stages, but it's a very simple setup.

I will be posting a more detailed update soon but I put on a Zex wet kit on the X3. I started simple and have kept adding. bottle heater with a pressure switch, a window switch - now replacing the window switch with a NOS progressive controller. It has been pulling hard but I want to turn it up some more especially in the high end. I tapped in to the low pressure fuel supply and so far have had no issues and have not needed to add an additional pump. After the the progressive controller is on I plan on getting some dyno numbers.

Added a progressive nitrous controller and doing some tuning. I can now turn it up even more and safely. Once this setup is final I will get some dyno numbers.

I ran nitrous on my 335xi for over a year, biggest I did was ~100 shot but I usually ran ~75. No spray in 1st gear and only kicked in above 3500rpm at WOT. Was a great way to add top-end in my car which was stock turbo. 475whp and nearly 600lb tq, the torque killed my 6AT unfortunately.

Biggest lessons I learned was to do the install right the first time and get quality fittings for the lines. My fuel was meth and I was going in through the chargepipe, initially a single big nozzle but later I went to two smaller nozzles staggered to better atomize.

JB4 was my nitrous controller for the whole journey, but you can't go wrong with the progressive controllers either.

If I was to do it again, I think the port injection might be a better setup for long term health and/or > 100 shot setups. I saw once a setup someone did that had a fuel and nitrous nozzle for each cylinder, not sure if it ever got used though.

It works well i havenít dynoed it or turned it up but the reason beingnis that it is having a purse stage 2 put on it. After all that I will get the meth nitrous etc dialed in and dynoed.
