There is no new firmware out for the B48 yet unfortunately. When there is it will be announced and the first post updated with the file.

Also why do you need a map 3? Map 2 for our engine already gives a 6psi add

The problem with the i8 is it's impossible to reach the TMAP sensor, so while it would work in theory, it's not practical.

installed the JB4 in my F54 Clubman John Cooper Works. It's really great, just if you shift there's a big boost lag. Would be great if there is a fix like on the N54 engines.

also the installation at the F54 Clubman with 6MT is much more difficult than for the F56 Hatch. You must remove the battery to get the cable into the passenger room.

And the valve controll doesn't work at the F54 Clubman, is it allway on the OEM operation.

My car is F57 Mini Cooper S Conv .

I want to delete Fault code p12a4 .

I bought jb4 in August this year.

Is Fault code p12a4 a problem with the installation process? Is it a firmware problem?

I delete the P12A4 through jb4, but it appears again the next day.

I live in PA and we have annual inspections. When we do inspections they need access to the OBDii port while the car is running. How do I allow this to happen while the JB4 is installed? I assume I cant just unplug that and the car will run fine, since it has tapped into 2 of the sensors. Thoughts?

This is a JB4 Burger Tune Stage 2 on 2015 MCS F56.

Just unplug JB4 from OBDII port.

OK, sounds simple, so what happens when you do that? The car reverts to its original tune and the JB4 is unpowered?

Thanks again for your quick responses.

With the obd2 cable unplugged the JB4 defaults to running map 1. Will run perfectly fine.

There is no blanket statement that it will run 100% fine. Burger's answer to this is along the lines that it might be ok, but you should do some logs to make sure.

What normally happens when running map 2, and for whatever reason the engine is not happy with trying to hit the boost target, it will keep itself safe by pulling timing. So what happens is your car ends up being slower on map 2 compared to map 1 where it wouldn't need to pull timing.

I use 93 octane but keep it on Map 1. If I want to run Map 2 (while it might be fine with just 93 octane) I will put in 2 gallons of E85 (then rest of tank is 93) and switch to Map 2.

On top of running e85 I would suggest you to get the flex fuel wire add-on, I think it's around $25. This, even without running e85, allows the JB4 to modify fueling which is always a good thing. Add more fuel to compensate for the added boost.

Where in NY are you?

Terry - couple quick questions

Auto code deletion - when this kicks in and deletes a code does it reset all adaptations and emissions readiness sensors? Coming from the VW world when clearing a code it would reset all fuel learned adaptations and reset all emissions readiness sensors. Does it clear all codes that may be present or just the code from not having a ***?

Auto-tuning map - will we get it?

Is the current b38 mini map for mini/ grand tourer at the same performance level as theb48/b58? Seems the b58/48 latest maps perform more much better than the b38 maps. If so is there a plan to update the b38 maps in accordance with recent improvements along with gauge sweep?

Any further map updates on the b38/mini/ grand tourer similar to the b58 platform?
