1. Pure's installation kit makes it easy but you can piece it together cheaper. Replacing the waterpump and thermostat are common during the install. If you change it out you will need coolant.

2. There are a few tips. Search Pure stage 2 installation on E90post and you can see what happened during my install and what people gave me for tips.

There are tons of DIY out there. Here's a good one..

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...5#post21975605

1. Remove the turbo with top oil and coolant lines attached.
2. Buy new coolant return lines (just in case)
3. Buy an o-ring pick to get the old exhaust gaskets out
4. Buy an cordless ratchet
5. Get two of your best homies to help.
6. Stretch out the install to at least 2 days. Don't get in a hurry.
7. Buy the inlet from Pure

Enjoy!

You should also pick up the turbo inlet pipe.

I wanted to, but they dont make it for the F10 535i only for the 135 & 335, i dont know why is that ? Is the F10 not restrictive as the rest or is there no demand for F10 inlet ??

They have said before that they don't want to be in the business of making inlet ***** and if another manufacturer made inlet ***** they would discontinue theirs. If it doesn't fit then my guess is there wasn't a high enough demand for them. I would look into other options though as you're most likely leaving power on the table.

If you are running pump fuel and goal is 450 whp then stock inlet is ok. If your goal is 500+ then inlet upgrade required.

I have inlets available for the 535i, and with a Pure Stage 2, you will exceed the maximum the stock intake can handle.

Hell yes! Very cool! I understand what Peter is saying and you don't NEED it. You will still be leaving power on the table though and you should pick one up.

Correct, and I think you hit the number on the head at 450HP. Without the inlet I was just under it. I will be dyno'ing again very soon and will have updated numbers with the new inlet. I can say the logs don't lie and and it seems the bottleneck is gone with the new inlet.

When we beta tested ps2 there was no inlet upgrade. With stock inlet the turbo has to work harder to suck in air. Obviously an upgrade is recommended. But around 450 is np on stock inlet. We made around 500-520 on stock inlet.

But i always recommend to put one. Nice to see someone made a 535 inlet!

I have 5 available to ship right now. Price for the inlet is $495 shipped within the continental US. I understand it is a fairly expensive price, but when I was investigating having them made I would have been around $800 to have it done as a one off.
