Exclamation TREBILA Performance Custom flash and full JB4 support - 09-01-2015, 06:40 AM

Hi guys

It's been 2 years I'm working on tuning N54 bin, stacked with the JB4, with some success (AT upshift flatline fix).

I can help you tuning your N54 bin (MT, AT, DCT) and setting accordingly your JB4, to get what you want from your engine, whatever the fuel used (pump, E85 blends, 100% E85, race gas, meth).
It's not free, as it takes some time to build the best bin based on your stock bin file, setting correctly the JB4, checking the logs, setting again, tuning the bin again ...

My help include the bin tuning (including various bin revisions), whatever is your flasher (Bimmerboost flasher or MHD flasher) and full JB4 tuning.
All I need is your stock bin file, complete list of mods, fuel used, transmission type, and of course, your wish list (including specific features, like alpina trans flash torque requests, cold start delete, 6MT upshift bog fix...)

For more information, please send me a PM.

here are few examples from previous customers:

N54 6AT, FBO, single barrel HPFP, E65, meth, RB turbos, stock inlets:

N54 6MT, FBO, E60, meth, RB turbos, VTT inlets:
1-2-3 log:

N54 6MT, FBO, straight 94 pump fuel, meth, RB turbos, stock inlets
3-4 log:

N54 6MT, FBO, E45 ( no meth ) , KKK K04 turbos, custom inlets:
3-4 log:

N54 DCT, FBO, E30-E40, meth, RB turbos, TFT inlets:
3-4 log:

I'm definitely curious, do you have any "base" pump tunes for testing? or do you do more custom tuning for upgraded turbos etc (since the logs you showed are all aftermarket turbo)

what would you say makes your maps better than others?

I wouldn't say my maps are better than others.
But the bin is specific to your car/specs, ajusted to your mods/fuel.
And the JB4 settings are almost as important as the bin.

The real difference is the support: I always stay behind my tuning, maybe some members which I've worked with ( and still working with) will confirm these here.

I've not made a lot of pump tuning, as most of my customers want to get the best from their engine, safely.
I still have stock turbos on E60-E65:

unrelated possibly, but why do you run map 3 no meth? we have a very similar mod list and I'm usually on 2 or 6 with a backend flash

Much easier to tweak the boost targets with meth boost add feature on map 3.
I like the map 3 tapper, because I still have stock inlets, but upgraded ones are on the way.
I'll certainly switch to map 6 once inlets installed.

What settings specifically would they adjust to get around it?

There are a lot of things tuners can adjust not all of them are good or safe to adjust

I've been around for ages and everything I've seen from treb had impressed me. His comments, logs, etc I would trust him and prob will use him when my car is ready to be modified again. Just my two cents...

That is a shift delay in that DCT log which is not good and will lead to DCT slippage as the transmission will overheat. If that shift is passed off as looking normal its because your treating the transmission like a 6AT and dont know how a DCT shift log is suppose to look like

David (Trebila) has been great with tuning my FBO Rb car. Made me both 93 and e50 maps! Highly recommend him.

in fact, I'm tuning the DCT "load to torques" tables in an opposite way than 6AT ones.

instead of lowering L2T values (for 6AT), I raise them even higher than stock ones to lock the DCT.

I see neither a shift delay in this log, nor DCT slippage.
We can share technical informations by e-mail if you want, and you'll show me how a DCT shift log should look like

WGDC curve (green) in this log is the actual torque calculated by the DME.
as you can see, it tapper at barely 450-480 ft-lb at 6500 rpm right before the upshift.
I'm still working with the customer on it, still raising the torque values, and no "DCT overheat" alarm.

Would be good to share your thoughts you have to offer with DCT Buraq.

The only log thread for DCT shifts i can find is this one:

do we know the actual circumstances? I'm curious as to what actually caused it (knock being ignored by tune etc)

people are very careful about choosing a tuner due to issues like this. If you could explain why your tunes aren't susceptible to the same issues, that would be a huge selling point I'd think?

just my two cents

I completely understand, but I won't comment on others tuners job, even more on my own thread.

Yeah, that E50 tune is being run on 100+ cars, definitely not the tune's fault fellas. 20psi, 12.5 degrees of timing and 12.5 AFR doesn't Crack pistons.

But agree, Treb is a huge asset to the community
