Well yes, it doesn't spool that well, but not sure who race from 0, I spin from a 60 roll lol, it's not that bad. also the gearing is very good you are never behind 5000 rpm.

I use 275/35/18 R888R. 1st gear and 2nd is pretty useless. even with PS2

N55 - Doc race 6266.

The gearing on this transmission is different, in the dyno it looks lagi, but its pretty quick on the street, every time you shift it wont go under 5k so power is there on every gear and 1st gear is very short, it really moves, not to bash because we have PS2 here too but no way it would get near where this car moves

it's not the gearing problem, the problem with the (turbo transient response)
when it at 5k rpm then go WOT, im sure it takes longer time to spool than the twin scroll.

I will give you everything else other than the 1/4 mile NOPE and the mile NOPE! The pure turbo will get mopped especially in the MPH department at the end of the run 1/4 mile and mile especially with an X drive launch!

Do you know what the timing was for these pulls? 30 psi on a 6266 in a n54 is well in the 700s.

I think it will be a bigger nuisance in daily driving having to whip the car/shifting down 3 gears to get going. I sometimes have this feeling even with the Pure Stg2.
You seem to be playing both sides of the fence.

You mention not spending much time under 4500, but then mention having to downshift 3 gears to get the car moving....

In daily driving downshift into higher rev range doesnt mean you have instant power. Turbo still need time to spool up and thus power comes on even later. Smaller/twin scroll/ball bearing/lightweight wheel turbo will always be faster getting going, whatever rev range it's at.

That being said, it's stupid to focus too much on drivability when you do a top mount kit. Only thing it does for you is drag. Harkes is right, doing 0-60, 1/4mile, you have launch control, offline you already have boost, very different than on dyno or daily driving. In such cases, power will be there a lot earlier rev range.
