hey guys, I have a 2018 M4 ZCP with JB4. I currently run it on map 2 with
30% E85/93 mix. I have Submitted my logs and everything and you guys have told me it all looks great. my question is what is the max E85 mix i can run?

i would like to run map 7 which i know requires 100 oct + but dont want to have to run race gas.

On a stock fuel system, 30% is about the max, for some that is too much. Depends on how the logs look.

jonsabia,
On my '15 F82, completly stock with MPE and all 4 cats still installed it started to sputter at hi rpms at 6gal of E85 per full tank on map 7 so that was it's limit for me but mine was very tolerant. Concentration at the pump was never confirmed either but I always bought it at the same place.

The car made 502 at the wheels on map 7 @ 5.5 gal E85/93 on Dynojet 5th gear.

Just ease your way up and adapt it...it will let you know when it is too much

All were good at 5.5 gal...very stable. Now mine was not a ZCP so that could alter your results

As Steve said, the best thing is to read and learn. The max boost I seen in my logs was 24.5 at peaks...consistent over 20 when it built. I thunk map 7 works based on octane and conditions....but don't quote me.

I am hafting to relearn all over again since now I am messing with a N55

hey guys just wondering if you can check this log for me and tell me what you think.

also i was thinking about possibly running map 6, so i can run absolute boost but wanted to know what would be safe and if my a/f ratios had room to run a lil more boost ?

Log looks fine but is only from 4.5k to 7k.

Try setting FF to 110.

Ok I’ll get a longer log for you. Why set ff to 110? It started at 100 but automatically learned its self to 150.

Because boost was a little low, FF curve is below the WGDC curve and FF needs to be adjusted up for it to hit boost target.

ah got ya. so is it bad for the ff to be at 150? also the higher the ff, does that mean more open or closed ? just trying to understand how to use it and adjust. i read the thread about it but that doesn't really explain how to use it.

also if i was going to try and run map 6 what would be a good absolute boost to run?
24 psi ? what can i go up to o map 6?

FF should not be maxed at 150 if you are running an absolute target based map.

A higher FF values raises the entire curve, you want it to match the WGDC curve. DB's settings adjust the shape of the FF curve.

no I'm currently not running an absolute value map. I am currently running map 7 that you see the ff at 150. i reset it to 110 like you suggested but it just learned back up to 150 within a few WOT pulls. is this how it should be?

I think you miss read my question. I was saying i would like to run map 6 which is an absolute value map, but wondering what settings to input?

Map 7 is an absolute (non-additive) based map.

"Map 6: User defined map generally only used for diagnostics or troubleshooting."

You can run map 6 but it's usually more for advanced users that are proficient in reading logs as it requires more monitoring and adjustment.

If your FF continues to max out, then dialing in the DB's will typically help with that.
