So I'm waiting for my JB4 to be delivered to install it on my F10 M5, but I was wondering after install will I get any popping or burbling sounds from the exhaust? I don't have ********* but I do have a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust.

Normally map1 is a good starting point, log and evaluate that.

So if I have ******* ********* on my M5 and I'm installing the JB4 Beta do I have to keep on clearing that check engine light? If so how often will I have to clear that error?

Thx Terry!

S63TU Firmware:

Firmware is in the first post. Note there are two separate board types and loading the wrong firmware for the board will result in check engine lights and no boost until the firmware is corrected. V1 systems (firmware version ending in //5) must use the JB4_S63TU_V1_xxx firmware. While V2 systems with integrated BCM (firmware version ending in //6) must use the JB4_S63TU_V2_xxx firmware.

V1_1_7_T1:
V2_2_1:

1) Redesigned the CANbus engine for much faster logging rates of all parameters resulting in smoother performance and better logging. By default the S63TU JB4 ships in "slow speed" CANbus mode (FutureUseD bit#4 = 1), which will run around 6hz from CAnbus on the new firmware. You can also try disabling this bit which will run 10hz from CANbus. If your vehicle can't handle the higher speed you'll see RPM drop out in logs. I'd be curious to know how many cars still require the slower speed with the new update.
2) Removed option for ulta-high speed logging (previously on bit7) as its no longer relevant.
3) Changed fuel pressure high and low to log full time.
4) Added load and calculated torque logging parameters for those running back end flash maps.

Lets see some logs with the new high speed logging firmware. Also set FUD = 0 to return to normal speed CANbus logging and evaluate that.

Thanks,
T
