Bummer, thank for sharing. I'm going to check my wires just to make sure nothing is in contact with hot engine parts.

I asked support about where to route the EWG harness on a B58, since I clearly didn't have enough common sense. They suggested going around or on top of the air intake box or the coolant area and to stay away from the manifold (there's my point about common sense).

So I spliced my EWG wires back together with butt splices and put some heat-shrink tubing around it and routed it the way they suggested, and so far, no codes. I'll switch to Map 6 with @Bullitt's settings and start logging and hopefully will feel the difference.

I used to be a stickler about having idiot proof instructions with everything I purchased. Then I decided I should stop being an idiot and use common sense.

Thanks, waiting for my ff ewg cables to arrive.
Was hoping for 400whp, but 390 would be close enough

Peak number doesn't mean a whole lot. Different dyno's read different numbers.

Area under the curve and times/trap speeds are what matters.

Finally able to do a long log. Map 6 with EWG wires, with at least one long pull to ~6000 in 3rd and almost the same in 4th.

I'm only getting a max of 17.0 psi briefly but it's close throughout the pulls. The power is definitely nice and long and sustained. Compared to Map 2, this feels better and the power is there for longer periods before tailing off.

I'm going to try a couple more logs over the next few days, but this is very promising so far for the M240i - there's quite a bit of headroom in that tune and this setup seems to be pushing in the right direction. Adding the FF wires should help too I think.

EDIT: Another short log added.
