Exclamation WMI Bogging motor ???? Any Help - 09-07-2017, 02:59 AM

So here is what i have going on just finished installing a WMI on 08 335i FBO with Pump BEF currently Irma has cut my supply of E85 short currently .
Im running a devils own pump and solinoid with BMS FSB and currently one DO5 nozzle.

First issue i had was a bad FSB and after some trouble shooting the crew at BMS sent me a new one and the system works , I can purge and everything is running perfectly at a stand still. I put it in map 3 and try to log but as soon as the WMI turns on my motor boggs down the rpms drop almost as if the WMI is killling my spark and WMI shuts off completely and it wont turn on untill i let of the gas and try again. Same goes for map 7. I started with two Do5 nozzles but it was alot worse so i figured i will get one running before stepping up to two nozzles. About 2k ago i replaced spark plugs ( NGKR gapped to 0.022" and new coils just to keep the ignition in top shape )

Any map without WMI performs flawlessly im only having issues getting the car to pull on WMI. I have all my settings on default 40 60 and played around changing the psi acctivation point without any success. I will be regapping my plugs after work to 0.02" to see if it helps . I have my thank filled with 50/50 distilled water and denatured alchol. Initially my first two or three pulls performed perfectly with the injection and ever since those i cant get my car like it.

Any one can chime in and give me some advice or a direction to go in. I included a log with the motor chocking for life and one from map 2 that was taken right afterwards.

First...meth scale is set wrong..it should be 60.

Second...meth won't flow on map 2 and your map 7 log is too short to see anything.

Thanks Steve I will make changes to the scaling after work. Map 2 was just a log afterwards to make sure all is well with the motor I was not expecting any meth on the log just a diagnostic logs for all functionsand verify there is no other present issues.

So I checked my settings and my scaling was set to 60 and I have 40 on boost additive as per BMS instructions. I gave map 3 two tries after work and the issue persist. When I got home I pulled my plugs and dropped the gap from 0.022 to 0.02 and went for a drive. It still boggs the motor down but only once before everything works correctly including meth flow. I only get this bogging as soon as meth starts to flow. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it. I will do some logs in the morning and get them posted to put more light on the situation

It wasn't set to 60 in the logs. One was set to 45 and the other was set to 50.

You'll need to upload a log with the proper settings for review.

Of those 3 logs...one is decent.

It looks pretty normal, FF just needs to learn down a bit.

I think I gunned it from second on that log . But my hesitation problem persist as soon as meth kick on. Flow goes straight to 100 is it possible my pump is cranked up to high. I'm only using a single DO5 nozzle. It almost feels like the motor is dying with the meth and kick back on a split second later. I have one more perfect day to log left street in Tampa Bay are empty after everyone evacuated . So it's perfect logging season atleast rill the storm comes.

Don't see any issues there...thought maybe you had some external trigger settings enabled. Disable those ethanol setup parameters and set min flow boost to 8.

Something is strange but can't put my finger on what is causing it. Lets see if those changes have any affect.

So I got virtual sensor reset to zero. Set min flow to 8 . I made a few runs and same issue persist. Once I hit tatget boost meth flow goes to 100 and motor boggs down or missed a beat. Tried logging it but the log only gets the WOT portion maybe a second but does not log the meth bogging the motor down. Is it possible to much pressure is being applied causing a heavy flow . I'm running a single DO5 for now i removed the other DO5 nozzle untill I can get some results. Is there any recommended psi I should be getting at the nozzle? I have a pressure gauge after solinoid and before nozzle so I can pretty accuratetly set the output psi.

Deselect "Log Heavy Throttle Only" and try another log for review.

I'm not sure what your issue is...looks like you have some sort of communication issue.

Do you have anything else plugged in to the CANbus?

Nothing else is plugged in . I ordered some boost juice today to see if anything will change I'm currently running 50/50 denatured alchol and distilled water. My first fsb did not work and this is a replacement from bms. On changes I can think of is Terry had me jump out two resistors on jb4 when trouble shooting but I doubt that has any affect to my issue. I try to get a better log in third today , it does it more aggressive ly then in fourth

I can't tell anything from the logs. Appears to me something isn't wired correctly or ??? Meth signal isn't correct.
