Managed a best of 11.42@123.10 w/ 1.85 60'. 2nd gear launch. Probably another .3ths in this with more boost and a more aggressive launch.
Terry,
What would our suspension need to make times like this guy in the 60ft? Perhaps I should say, what would you need to get sub 1.60s?

LOL at his worst being a 1.27! I love the in cabin camera, this guys shifts are impressive. I passed his trailer a couple times on the Interstate a couple times this past week, now I know what car he was towing. He probably won't be going to best Buy in that thing.

Thanks brotha. It was a lot of fun.

I really want to try running the 1/4 with something besides my 20" BMW OEM style 361 wheels. Looks like a good option would be to swap some K1's onto the car for the day.

Nice on the record T !!! How are the nt555r's? I had MT's ET streets and those were just dangerous at high speeds. Would you recommend hoosiers for 1/4 mile runs or nt555r?

I've been running 555Rs on all my cars for years. I love them. Good traction, fine in wet weather, good 10-12k mile wear, etc.

So at what rmp would u launch out at in 2nd gear? Looking forward to trying that out as I need all the help I can get. Also seen ur mods list and am interested in getting the back end flash done to my n55. Is that flash available yet or still a work in progress for the n55 public. If available will it be able to be done with a bt cable?

Launching was really tough with this setup. It was a fine line between bogging and running 11.7x, spinning and running 11.8x, and hooking well with enough boost and running 11.4x. More tuning in the spool up range, adding more advance, may help making the launches easier.

Thanks Terry, I've lowered the fuel scalar to 1.33, and set Open loop fueling to 80, and all is fine.

I don't think it is possible. The 335i won't fit that kind of tire without serious modification. Plus, no 335i is making close to the kind of power to get into the 8 second club. Also, even though the Terminator came with an IRS, I'd bet he has swapped in a much stronger live axle to handle those launches. That just isn't available for the 335i.

You could probably get into the 1.6s with a lot of modification, and the right tire, but it would probably be easier with an xi model.

Those are fantastic numbers. Wow! Great work Terry glad to see the car is coming along..

How does it drive compared to stock? Compared to an N54 RB Car?

1.6 is cake for xi models. I'm at 1.63 in my X1 on stock 19in runflat tires with a N55. I would expect an aftermarket turbo xi with sticky tires to be in the 1.5's. Or you could just take the car to ATCO and get like a 1.3 :p

All around it drives pretty nice. I'd say comparable to an N54 RB car running something like map 7.

I knew N55 is state of the art motor. E90 is a heavy car. I know that N55 would rock in lighter chassis like E36. With a massive 500 foot pound of torq, are you kidding me

which car would be faster in a 1/4 mi drag and or 1/2 mi roll racing situation with a AVERAGE driver, a 6mt n54 fully loaded e82 with vtt stg 2/rb's @ 500/500 or a n55 e92 auto with vtt turbo @460?

N55 has a much lighter powertrain so it might be a draw but I think the N55 is faster because you are able to maintain 20psi of boost troughout the power band. The N54 will taper off.

questions.... Was this the Vargas stage 2 turbo? If so what would one expect from the stage 1 as far as WHP and 1/4 mile?

Is it possible to launch in 2nd with my DCT and boost? Or am I stuck to 1st gear roll ons? I know I have the launch mode but it's at 5500 and just wastes time
