Yep, ready. Just waiting for one last OK for this release. Hopefully we can give it a go tomorrow.

For the E60, I recall reading somewhere that if we are using the SAT flash we need to flash back to the stock bin before flashing with xHP. Is this true?

I believe as long as you do not have the coding missing fault, you can back up your sport flash...i had coding missing fault and got my flash guy to take care of it with the directions on the previous page.
I just hope the xhp flash for the e60 is compares to the sport flash alot of us 5ers have because of the more performance oriented up and downshifts, and holding gears at different throttle inputs and speeds...

I have the RWD Sport which comes standard with the sport flash some of you load into your AWD e60s (7601458). Curious to see the effect on both D and Sport mode.
I will flash it as soon as green light is given. To avoid bricking the car!

New D mode is too aggressive for twins. In the effort to compensate for the slow spool of a single, D mode for stage 3 is way too high revving. Most of us want these for standard D mode(slightly higher than Alpina, similar to stock) and very aggressive sport manual mode. When I want my car to run passive while the oil is warming up and it doesn't shift till 3200 is ridiculous while in D mode. There should be 2 stage 3s, one for singles, one for twins.

+2. That sort of functionality would be awesome!

Well, it's a similar story, like we had it the last weeks with the 335i. A lot of user have flashed their cars with WinkFP in the past, but never coded their TCUs after flash. xHP then complains about missing coding on backup.

I know this is pita for some guys, but we have to restore the coding after each flash, as the transmission is throwing it away each time you write on it. If we would ignore this fact, users will end up with a fault code in memory after using xHP. So no need to flash back to stock, but your TCU has to be coded, otherwise xHP won't do a backup. (which is required)

Well, there are 4 of them. Just use V1.1.

Is that on stage 3? I'm at work and can't play with my car, so I'm living vicariously through everyone.

E60 flash stage 3...needs alot of work, does not downshift to first in 3rd gear in s mode, and shift speeds seems same in s mode, but i should let the trans adapt maybe before i give my opinions...

Did you roll it back to stock sport mode with WinKFP? How is D mode?

No i backed up my sport flash then flashed xhp stage 3...d mode definetly quiker shifts, at some speeds goes from 3rd to 5th real quik, if i look up for a split secong 4th is almost non existent at certain speeds, needs work...but like i said i will put more miles on it and let it adapt before i give anymore input...on a side note i would of been happy with all the up and downshift algorithims of my sport flash but with the added quiker shifts and other options of xhp...

I tried using a BimmerSoftware DCAN cable and it wouldn't connect. Do I need to buy one of the ones you linked?
