we are building a list of unlockers, email us.

Under the throttle body. Not very complicated to remove.

Would I need or benefit from Flex Fuel wires when running the MHD Back End flash and about 40% e85 mix?

Good to have the fuel pressure connector on there so the JB4 can compensate for fuel trims based on ethanol mixture if it ever needs to.

Can someone please help me.
I had my dme bench flashed and unlocked with the mhd patch. I flashed the 9E60B pump file back end flash. It was looking great until it failed at 90% with error "failed to write section: 7F 36 80", every time I try to do the "retty a failed map flash it fails at different percentages with the same error. If i attempt a long write out fails immediately saying could not clear memory. I read that if I flash back to stock it will remove the unlock patch. I am unable to start my car I've disconnected battery. Switched device off and on again. No luck. please help

Make sure ignition is fully on (insert key, press the start button without touching the brakes until the dashboard displays the actual fuel level), otherwise the DME will go into sleep mode and will not start long flashes as you experiment.

If that stills fails, it's often due to a bad KDcan cable. See page 5 of the user manual for recommended cables per country

Default MHd update 1.23 - 10-10-2017, 08:32 AM

- Small user interface improvements
- Eco coolant set to normal coolant for sport / track modes.
- Added Monitor on app start up option.
- Autolog pedal threshold increased from 50 to 70%.
- Logging is stopped/resumed when the app goes to the background/foreground.
- For DME swaps, VIN is checked against the CAS module so licenses remain valid.
- Modified the N20 sensor setting to match the F80 OEM settings.

You can disable the error code 321F by modify the bin yourself.
Europe car does not have Leak diagnosis pump. You can check it by enter your vin at realoem under FUEL > VENTILATION.

Default Hi everyone. - 10-12-2017, 10:48 AM

I’m new to this but I need some help.
I have 2012 135i 6MT, jb4 map2,charge pipe,BMS intake, muffler delete,93 octane. I’m not planning to do any other mods but I heard about MHD BEF for jb4. Can someone tell me please if I should do this? Will
I get more power? Maybe some other benefits?
Thanks.

I would check your build date to make sure you have a DME that is directly flashable. If not you will need a DME unlock, which can be kind of a pain. I did the entire process myself, but it is not an easy task.

This is directly from MHD:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN in serial number. Click Browse parts the ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and check both CONTROL UNITS > MEVD1726 section. If the it says "No parts found matching your car." you have a MEVD172 which is directly flashable.

Whether you need the unlock or not, I would highly recommend getting MHD. It will allow you to explore several tuning options (JB4 only, JB4 + BEF, flash only). Adding the BEF won’t add any power but will greatly improve smoothness (The throttle with the JB4 feels like an on/off switch compared a much more linear feel with a BEF or flash only). MHD will also allow you to add exhaust burbles, cold start noise reduction, surpress a CEL for c a t l e s s - d o w n p i p e (s), etc.

I just checked and it says parts not found under MEVD1726 so I guess I can flash it with no problems. So you telling me if I add MHD BEF to jb4 i’ll have option to some how hide CEL light if I install **?

Correct, but that is just one of many benefits. The more linear throttle IMO makes the car much more enjoyable to drive. Definitely worth the $200. Not to mention N55 MHD is still in its early stages, so it’ll have many more updates to come.

I do not believe there is a NLS option out right now for the N55. Only N54.

Correct I do not have a SES light on my dashboard, however you will not pass state inspection because OBD2 catalyst efficiency will show "not ready". Only way to pass emissions legitimately is to put the OEM/Catted d o w n p i p e back on.

And if you know tell me please what I should check in the boxes when I will be installing it? For example if I have C A T L E S S D O W N P I P E should I check the box?

I would start with the 98G0B Pump flash. The 9E60B files are for late E-series (does not apply to you).

If you have a c a t l e s s - d o w n p i p e then do NOT check the box for OEM/Catted d o w n p i p e before flashing.
