Talking to a local TV repair shop to get the parts...he has a 15 ohm resistor but it is more then 5 watts....would this be a issue?

I mailed mine into Terry, he did the 15ohm mod and the nitrous trigger wire for a reasonable price and had it back the same week

Yes, any wattage larger than 5 watt is too large to fit on the board.

HaHa,
I practiced removing & replacing components on the board, solder sucking and using copper mesh to clean up the problem holes. It was a confidence builder.

Not sure where you are at but here's where I got my stuff. No Credit cards and not the friendliest people to deal with but they had the resistors.

I have FBO & Meth & it made my car scary again. Also found out quickly that the OEM clutch could not hold the power in 3rd & 4th.

I am thinking it will do this for me since I am under target with a high Wastegate duty cycle of 130. Hopefully this helps...there is also the new board coming out soon to "G5"

Had the 15 ohm done by a local TV repair guy for $5.00 and I must say this mod made a bigger difference than Dps, FMIC....I pulled 4-5 car lengths on my buddy with the same car same mods same mix except he has 18 ohm. I guess my car really needed this..my Wastegate duty was at 130...will log tonight to see what it is now. The car pulls harder all the way thru the RPM range...more boost thru the range via my boost gauge also.

Finally got decent enought weather to be able to pull my engine bay apart to do this mod. I am loving it but my already slipping clutch is hating it!

Join the crowd.
I put in a clutchmasters Stg. 3 w/ Fiber Tough plate. Worked fine on road course, plan to hit the strip in the next 2 weeks.

I just did my first datalog, I had an ffmax wastegate adaptation value of 124. This is on fbo minus exhaust. I'm about to start running Meth in a week or two, I'm guessing this would probably take me over the 130 recommend limit.
Wonder if I should run Meth first for couple weeks to make sure its all running good, then do this mod.
Mods are jb4, bms dci, Vrsf downpipes, helix intercooler, synapse bov and chargepipe. 07 335I
Bms Meth kit very soon.

I'm planning on doing this mod tomorrow. How would I know if I did it wrong? Will the car start, just not go in command mode? I just want to be prepared for worst case scenerio.

I just opened my JB4 to do this mod and it already has 5w 15ohm resistors? I bought the JB4 a week or so ago, the new ones already come with the upgrade?

for those that done this with FFMAX stuck @ 130 with an 18ohm board, what did your FFMAX value drop to with a 15ohm board?
