Can't comment on the conti, but I really like my ventus v12's. For the price, hard to beat. On my second set. Rears last me about 25k and the fronts 35k. Handle well, decent ride and grip well. Maybe not corner quite as well as the OEM runflats IMHO.

Have Continental DWs on Audi B6 S4, and Hankooks on Audi B6 A4.
Both good tires.

The DW's should probably get the nod for your car though.
A little stiffer sidewall.

I own Conti DW's for the last 2 years and the handling and grip is superb. Wet traction is fenomenal. I also used them for some laps last year on the 'ring and they are excellent.

You will not be dissapointed.

I have the hankook v12s. Very good tire. Great wet traction. Conti DW's are good to from what I hear. You wont be disappointed with either tire.

Havent ridden on the stock Conti's but have v12's on the car now. They get my approval.

Hancrap tires are the WORST for straight line traction. Those tires are made of plastic or something and refuse to heat up. I know two people who ran those tires because they were a good "value" tire and got their money's worth.

On the N54, I've run the OEM RFTs (not bad actually), Dunlop Direzza Z1 StarSpec (AMAZING lateral traction but extremely noisy and hum like bad bearings after some miles) and the Continental DWS (the perfect all-season tire).

Although I've never run the DW, the DWS can dead hook with 410-420 whp in 20 degree ambient temps from a 40 roll. I've cut 1.9 60fts with my automatic in similarly frigid temps.

I don't like the V12's either, they are too soft in sidewall structure that the car will feel floaty and your steering response goes to crap, especially after coming from the stiffer sidewalled Bridgestone RE050A RFTs.

According to tirerack, the conti DW's aren't any better in sidewall stiffness.

Did not try either of these but I need new rubbers so I read about them a lot.
I will probably go with the the Conti DW.
I heard at first they feel very soft for cornering but after a while they get stiffer.
The wear rate is better for the Continental: 340 versus the V12: 280.

They are both a lot more comfortable than the stock runflat.

Stockies being runflats, the sidewall is really really stiff so there is no lag when turning. You should expect some lag with non-runflats...

Hankook V12's are horrendous for traction like others have said... they make a rs-3 that you may be interested in and may hook better but wet traction will not be nearly as good...

I had continental DWS on my OEM wheels and went with Kuhmo Ecsta XS on my advans and despite tons of reviews on how good the XS' were they are WORSE than the DWS in every aspect except for high speed lane changing and cornering due to a nice stiff sidewall... I regret not going with DWS' instead of them... and to top if all off the DWS is the LIGHTEST tire pretty much on the market... 5 lbs lighter PER TIRE than the hankooks in a 265/35/18 size

I have Continental DWS as well, can't complain at all. Really good performance in all weather, really sturdy sidewall which is good. I bent a rim but no bubbles on the side

I ran the Conti's on my M3, I had good experience with them. Decent grip, fantastic wet performance, wear was decent for what they are. I managed like 8-9k miles out of a set of rears and 18k or so from the fronts. To note, I am NOT talking about DWS's, I am talking about DW's. HUGE difference.

I personally would never buy Hankook anything. That's just my personal preference.

If I were you, I would spring a few hundred more for Pilot SS's.

I had the V12 Evo's and they really do suck in straight line traction. They were great in the rain but the OEM runflats had much better dry traction. I ended up putting on Bridgestone RE-11's and have loved them so far.


Mods: JB3 1.4, BMS DCI
12.7 @ 112 on Map 8 w/ 100 octane.
BMS Meth kit keeping her cool.

V12s are awesome, except for straightline traction. quality/feel/noise/steering is all good with v12s, except straightline, dont know why, but its true
