Default A TEIN first! - 04-01-2012, 08:23 AM

As many will know TEIN have only produced some S Type springs for the E90 Saloon platform, well I am happy to announce that yesterday I had the first set of E92 TEIN springs fitted to my car!

Ok after 12 hours of testing, recording and changing springs over that after a 60 mile ride home I am very happy! The car after a short 3 mile test dropped the car down 30mm front and 20mm on the rear! I'm sure after a week or so they will drop to 36mm front and 30mm rear which may sound a little strong but after TEIN USA used an E90 as a platform to start with, it did drop to those heights but my car may drop up to 5-6mm front and back.

The ride compared to the standard set up is firmer but more forgiving when pushing on or some plain speed cruising. The whole car is very well mannered from standard but with this improvement I have more confidence when pushing on.

Regards,

Tom

Firmer but more forgiving? That does not compute

I don't get it either. So is it stiffer, or softer?

My guess is they are progressive springs vs linear. Stock are progressive too right?

Slick,

My coffee is better than your coffee, because it is both hotter and colder

LOL, I kid.

Ok jokes aside, the original springs are more progressive and the new ones aren't! Does that make things clearer?

e9o and e92 are the same springs, they even use the same ones on 330i

330i uses the same springs as the e90?
