Default 335i vs R33 GTR Skyline - 03-06-2012, 01:35 PM

Was on my way home from dropping the wife off at her friends and spotted one of these rice buckets going for it until we hit some red lights just before a long stretch of open road.

I got the jump on him from the lights and as the speed was building he couldn't shift me and was slightly pulling on him towards 80mph. With all the flames from him on gear change (maybe something to try and scare me?) I started to pull away from him before he gave up at around 140mph.

I got a wave as he parted and felt quite chuffed, looking at the standard specs of the R33 GTR and also spying an aftermarket exhaust system I was even more happy as my car is bone stock!

As soon as I can chuck a JB4, i/c, new intake and Kittyless DP's I may go looking for bigger prey

A GTR is no where close to being rice even if its an R33!! Nice kill though, they are dinosaurs but can be BEASTS with the right mods. It was fast stock in its day 17 years ago..lol

Nice kill Tom, our cars certainly take well to the colder weather here. Get a Jb4 as soon as - I did and cant believe the power increase for so little money.

Ricer is what ricer does I've seen hundreds of tuned ones out there beating some Exotica and some even embarking some too! There's 80 kgs in weight difference (R33 being lighter) and obviously some tune on this one but quite an easy kill

Just noticed you weren't in the US.. LOL.. Makes it a little different. All heads would turn if an R33 or R34 happened to roll by where I live.

Agreed... R33 GTR's aren't exactly rice, we're not talking hondas here. Nice kill though. I am FBO + meth and I would imagine I could beat a few of the ones I see at Nurburgring in a straight line, but thats not what that car was meant for. I can't count the number of times a GTR has passed me on the Ring. must be nice to have all wheel drive and all wheel steering.
