Default Help with lower springs. - 05-15-2011, 12:09 PM

Hi guys, I’m in the middle of a dilemma.

I installed an H&R Cup kit to my 135i and it looks awesome but I have some issues. I installed some VMR 701 and the car is rubbing, as expected. Took the car for fender roll but it still rub if I corner too hard or somebody is on the back.

After some thought it seems to the rear compress a lot it almost get close to the wheel. I believe the rear shocks are under damper for the springs. I was thinking to buy the koni yellows and set them to a stiffer setting to control the damping travel.

Am I correct on my idea?

Other hypothesis is that the rear springs for some reason are softer than should be.

I was about to put my stock suspension back but stop and think about this issues.

All help is welcome.

Thanks

Thats the problem with springs, your better off with coil overs so you can adjust height and rebound. If I were you I'd sell your springs and run stock until you can scrap up enough for a good set of coil overs, H&R and anything from the KW line are very reputable brands and would be your best bet.

Hope I could help.
