My belt was somewhat shiny, but the smooth tensioner directly under the oil filter lines was starting to get “grooved” by the belt from slipping.
With the car idling I could watch the drips form on...

Yup mine looked just like that. It soaked my belt...

Yup mine looked just like that. It soaked my belt and that sprayed on my chargepipe and alternator. I couldn’t tell it was leaking until I pulled the thermostat cap off, then I could clearly see...

I just went through the same thing on my n54....

I just went through the same thing on my n54. Mine ended up being the gasket for the oil cooler thermostat. Since you can’t buy a new one you just have to take it apart and silicone it.
