I'm not sure what changed but the BMW engineers decided a 4 inch outlet was necessary. I would say that the twin scroll split in the exhaust manifold is the most restrictive spot.

MHD will for sure make this better. JB4 has menu 11 which helps but if adjusted too high is just ridiculous IMO.
